Sometimes when you upload a custom image to one of your products, the result is 90-degrees off.  Your Timber website is not malfunctioning -- this undesired rotation is being caused by the Web browser reading your image's EXIF rotation data (a parameter added by the device which captured the photo originally).

Here are some tips for getting rid of the undesired rotation:

  • Open the photo in Photoshop or MS Paint, and re-save it as a JPG.  This usually removes the EXIF data.

  • Make sure to hold the phone in the native Landscape orientation for every picture you take.

  • You might try adding an app to your phone, to remove the exif rotation parameter
